Sabretooth Forced to Hunt Family in Future X-Men Timeline

In a future storyline unfolding within the current X-Men “Age of Revelation” event, Laura Kinney, known as Sabretooth, is compelled to pursue her sister, Gabby, and half-brother, Akihiro, to retrieve her son, Sean, from territory controlled by the villainous Revelation.

The upcoming Laura Kinney: Sabretooth #2 reveals that Revelation, formerly the X-Men member Doug Ramsey, has manipulated Sabretooth’s mind to enforce his will. Sabretooth had previously sought Gabby and Akihiro’s help to smuggle Sean to safety, fearing for his well-being as Sean is not a mutant. After concealing a murder from Revelation to protect the escape plan, she is now ordered to recapture her son. The manipulation is visually depicted as Sabretooth breaks down in tears as Revelation’s influence takes hold.

Gabby, despite her disdain for Sabretooth’s allegiance to Revelation, acknowledges the warped logic driving her sister’s actions. The family attempts to flee through teleportation gates to Arrako, the mutant nation on Mars, but are intercepted by Sabretooth and Revelation’s forces. This conflict raises questions about whether Sabretooth will truly prevent her son’s escape. The X-Men’s future is increasingly uncertain as more heroes fall under Revelation’s control, potentially reshaping the mutant landscape as seen in past storylines like the Dark Angel Saga.

Laura Kinney: Sabretooth #2, featuring writing by Erica Schultz and art by Valentina Pinti, is scheduled for release next week. Marvel officials have not commented on the long-term implications of Revelation’s mind control, but the storyline is expected to continue exploring the ethical dilemmas faced by heroes in a dystopian future.
