Pebble Smartwatch Reboot Set to Ship This Month, Appstore Relaunched
The revived Pebble 2 Duo smartwatch is preparing to ship to customers this month, alongside the relaunch of the official Pebble Appstore.
Nearly 3,000 white Pebble 2 Duo units were manufactured in September and are currently en route to a fulfillment center, according to a recent blog post from the project’s lead. Black units are also being produced, though their shipment was slightly delayed due to a holiday in China and Hong Kong. Customers who pre-ordered the device may have recently received a survey to confirm shipping details.
The return of the Pebble Appstore, accessible at apps.repebble.com, brings back access to over 2,000 apps and 10,000 watchfaces originally created for Pebble smartwatches, with new additions planned. This relaunch provides continued support for existing Pebble devices and will serve the updated hardware. The updated Pebble app is currently in beta testing. The original Pebble was a pioneer in the smartwatch space, popularizing the use of e-paper displays and crowdfunding.
The project is spearheaded by Eric Migicovsky, the original founder of Pebble. Further updates regarding shipping timelines and app availability will be communicated directly to customers, and the company anticipates fulfilling all pre-orders throughout October.

In a blog post, original Pebble founder and the man behind this reboot, Eric Migicovsky, explains that The Pebble 2 Duo is set to ship “soon.” Nearly 3,000 units of the white Pebble 2 Duo were manufactured in September and are on their way to a fulfillment center. Black units are also in the works, but were delayed due to a holiday in China and Hong Kong.
Customers who pre-ordered may have received a survey within the past two weeks verifying shipping information and other details ahead of the smartwatch shipping. Orders will be shipping this month (October 2025).
Meanwhile, the Pebble Appstore is also back, both for these new smartwatches and the ones still floating around from the past.
The rebooted Pebble Appstore picks up right where it left off nearly a decade ago, housing both apps and watch faces for Pebble smartwatches. The store is available at apps.repebble.com and contains the over “2,000 apps and 10,000 watchfaces” built for Pebble, as well as new entries too. Existing Pebble smartwatches can use the rebooted store (as well as the updated Pebble app that’s in beta testing), and this will also serve the updated hardware too.
