Ali Kaya, the brother of Dilek İmamoğlu, has been cleared of drug-related charges after recent tests came back negative. The development marks a turning point in a case that has drawn scrutiny in recent weeks.

TEST RESULTS RETURN NEGATIVE

Blood and urine samples taken from Kaya reportedly showed no traces of illicit substances, according to results released Monday.

BACKGROUND OF THE CASE

Kaya was initially detained on February 4 and subsequently arrested February 6 following allegations of drug involvement. During a court hearing, Kaya vehemently denied the accusations, stating, “Hayatım boyunca ağzımdan hiçbir şekilde uyuşturucu madde geçmemiştir” – “Throughout my life, no drug substance has ever passed through my mouth.” He had also requested that nail and hair samples be taken as part of the legal process, but that request was not granted.
