Clemson Lands Four-Star Recruit Will Stevens

Clemson University men’s basketball program received a commitment from four-star recruit Will Stevens today, bolstering their 2025 recruiting class.

Stevens, a 6-foot-9 forward from Davidson (N.C.) Day School, is ranked as the No. 95 overall prospect nationally by Rivals and the top player in North Carolina. He chose Clemson over offers from numerous other programs, including Virginia, N.C. State, and South Carolina. Stevens announced his decision during a ceremony at his high school this afternoon.

The Clemson coaching staff, led by head coach Brad Brownell, prioritized Stevens due to his skillset as a “stretch big,” a player capable of shooting from long range. Brownell has a proven track record of developing players with similar attributes. As a junior, Stevens averaged 12 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game. This commitment is particularly significant as Clemson aims to maintain its momentum after signing four high schoolers and six transfers last offseason; a strong recruiting class is vital for sustained success in the competitive Atlantic Coast Conference. You can find more information about the men’s college basketball landscape on the NCAA website.

The early signing period for basketball opens November 12-19. Clemson’s season begins November 3rd against New Hampshire. Brownell stated the staff will be selective with high school recruits this cycle, making Stevens’ commitment all the more impactful. Clemson Athletics will release further details regarding Stevens’ signing in the coming weeks.
