Quavo Announces New Album Produced with Pharrell Williams, Recorded in Paris
Rapper Quavo revealed today that his upcoming solo album will feature significant production work from Pharrell Williams and was entirely recorded in Paris.
Speaking to Parisian paparazzi outside a club, Quavo stated, “It’s on the way, we dropping. Me and Pharrell. Everything we did, everything we recorded, we recorded the whole album in Paris. We recorded at Louis V headquarters,” referencing Williams’ role as creative director for Louis Vuitton. While a release date remains unconfirmed, the project marks a substantial collaboration between the two artists, who have previously worked together on tracks like “Stir Fry” with Migos and Quavo’s 2018 song “Go All The Way.”
This news arrives as Quavo and fellow Migos member Offset have seen increased public discussion surrounding their relationship, with fans expressing nostalgia for the group’s dynamic. Offset recently released his own solo album, KIARI, adding to the anticipation for Quavo’s next musical move. Young Thug has also hinted at a potential tour with Quavo, telling Ebro Darden, “It’s possible…First, we’re just checking in with each other and see each other’s worlds: ‘You good?’”
It remains unclear whether the album will be a full collaboration or if Williams contributed beats for Quavo to rap over, but the partnership signals a potentially exciting new direction for the Atlanta rapper. The renewed creative energy could be a significant step forward for Quavo as he navigates his career following changes within the Migos.
Representatives for both artists have not yet commented on a specific release timeline, but further details are expected in the coming months.
