The film, directed by Marwan Hamed, aims to capture the essence of the “Star of the East” for a new generation and has already generated significant buzz across the arab world. Dubai’s Burj Khalifa was illuminated with images of iconic Egyptian singer Om Kalthoum, celebrating the upcoming release of “The Lady,” a new biopic starring Mona Zaki. Zaki shared a video on her Instagram account alongside fellow actor Sayed Ragab, showing them in front of the towering landmark as fans gathered to view the film’s poster projected onto the building.
“The Lady” will open in Egyptian cinemas on Wednesday, December 10, following a special premiere event last Saturday in 6th of October City. Actor Ahmed Helmy attended the premiere with his wife, Mona Zaki, offering his customary support.
