Military Sealift Command to Host Career Fair in Columbus, Ohio

The U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC) will host a career fair today, December 11, 2025, seeking civilian mariners to support its global operations.

The event will take place from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Crowne Plaza Columbus North – Worthington, located at 6500 Doubletree Avenue, Columbus, OH 43229. MSC operates approximately 110 non-combatant ships crewed by civilians, providing vital transportation and logistical support to the Department of Defense. Interested candidates are encouraged to RSVP for the event to receive a reminder email.

MSC is the premier provider of ocean transportation to the Department of Defense, responsible for replenishing Navy ships, conducting specialized missions, and strategically positioning cargo worldwide. This recruitment drive comes as the demand for skilled maritime professionals continues to grow, impacting global supply chains and national security. The command’s ships move military cargo and supplies for U.S. forces and their international partners.

According to the Military Sealift Command website, these positions are crucial for maintaining a ready and responsive sealift capability. Further information about career opportunities with MSC can be found at the USAJOBS website, the official job board of the U.S. Federal Government.

Officials stated they are looking to fill a variety of positions and encourage qualified applicants to attend the fair and learn more about opportunities with MSC.
