North Dakota State Soccer to Host Rival North Dakota in Summit League Match

North Dakota State University’s soccer team will face off against the University of North Dakota today, October 12, in a Summit League contest at Dacotah Field in Fargo, North Dakota.

The match, dubbed “Dakota Soccer Day,” is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. local time. The Bison hold a 13-6-2 advantage in the all-time series against the Fighting Hawks, including a 2-1 victory last year in Grand Forks. This rivalry game is crucial as both teams vie for positioning in the Summit League standings.

Last year’s contest saw North Dakota State overcome a red card to secure the win. Gabrielle Garrett scored just 54 seconds into the game, while Morgan Russmann added the game-winning goal in the second half. Goalkeeper Payton Mulberry recorded three saves in the victory. Fans are encouraged to wear Bison gold, and the first 250 attendees will receive a Bison Soccer scarf. More information about the Summit League can be found on their official website.

The game will be televised across North Dakota and parts of Minnesota on WDAY Xtra, with live streaming available on the Summit League Network. Following today’s match, North Dakota State will conclude its home schedule on Thursday, October 16, against Kansas City.
