Gallivan Financial to Acquire Dublin’s Tara Financial Partners in Undisclosed Deal

Killarney-based wealth management firm Gallivan Financial announced today it is acquiring Tara Financial Partners Ltd, a Dublin-based financial advisory company, for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition will boost Gallivan Financial’s total assets under management to over €850 million, furthering its rapid expansion across Ireland. This deal represents a significant consolidation in the Irish financial advisory sector, as smaller firms are acquired by larger, national players.

Gallivan Financial, majority-owned by the Gallivan family, has been actively growing through acquisition, adding five businesses in the last two years. Earlier this year, the company acquired Mount Street Group and Kelly O’Shea Pensions and Financial Services. Managing Director Fergal Smith stated, “This latest acquisition enables us to deepen our reach in Dublin, while also reinforcing our national expansion strategy.” The transaction is expected to finalize within weeks, and the company is also in exclusive negotiations for further acquisitions. Gallivan Financial anticipates exceeding €1 billion in assets under management by the end of the year, building on its previous success – the Gallivan family previously sold Gallivan Murphy Insurance Brokers to Assured Partners in 2022, though Gallivan Financial remained separate and focused on its own growth trajectory. Company officials say they will provide further updates as the acquisition process progresses.
