The multi-specialty health fair, organized by the Future Caravan Association, aims to improve access to healthcare, particularly for vulnerable populations, and promote preventative care. The clinic will be located at the Nkhail district council headquarters and is being supported by the Nkhail district council, the Regional Delegation of Health and Social Protection, the United Pharmacists Syndicate of Marrakech, and the Wahat Al Nakhil Observatory.
According to Ysra Al-Arjouni, president of the Future Caravan Association, “All services provided will be free of charge, and aim to prevent and detect a number of common diseases.”
Services will include eye exams and free prescription eyeglasses, as well as early detection screenings for breast and cervical cancer using mammography. Dental check-ups and initial treatments will also be available.
General medical consultations, ultrasound screenings, and care for patients with diabetes and high blood pressure will be provided. Specialized blood tests to assess diabetes risk will also be offered, and medications will be dispensed free of charge with valid prescriptions.
“This initiative embodies the spirit of solidarity and collaborative work between various stakeholders,” Al-Arjouni stated. “The health of citizens remains a trust and a collective responsibility.” She also praised the support of the Nkhail district council and the involvement of health and community partners.
