In-N-Out Burger Executives, Korn Member Perform at Hollywood Palladium Benefit Concert
In-N-Out Burger executives and members of the band .48 Special, featuring a surprise appearance by Korn’s James “Munky” Shaffer, performed a four-hour concert at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles yesterday, raising funds for substance abuse and human trafficking prevention.
The event, dubbed Rock 2 Freedom, is an annual fundraiser backed by In-N-Out Burger owner and president Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson and her husband Sean Ellingson. The concert, held Saturday, October 18, featured performances by Papa Roach and San Diego’s Sitting on Saturn, alongside In-N-Out’s own band, .48 Special. Attendees enjoyed burgers from In-N-Out food trucks parked outside the historic venue, which previously hosted The Rolling Stones in 1972. Snyder-Ellingson herself took the stage, performing lead vocals and even aerial stunts during .48 Special’s set.
Rock 2 Freedom supports the Slave 2 Nothing Foundation, established by the Ellingsons to combat substance abuse and human trafficking. “Our whole mission is freedom. We want to see people being set free from being enslaved to any person or substance,” said Dominic Done, executive director of Slave 2 Nothing. The concert raised over $52,000 in pledges during intermission, and In-N-Out will continue fundraising efforts throughout October, matching contributions three-to-one up to $300,000. The event’s success comes as In-N-Out prepares to expand eastward, establishing a new operational hub in Nashville, Tennessee, and represents a growing commitment to social responsibility for the popular fast-food chain.
Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix used the band’s set to advocate for suicide awareness, while .48 Special band member Greg Nogle remarked, “We sell burgers for a living. It’s pretty humbling to be here.” Officials stated that In-N-Out will continue to accept donations in its restaurants throughout the month to support the cause.
