Pluro Fertility Raises ₹125 Crore in Series A Funding, Valuing Company at ₹1,000 Crore

New Delhi – A newly launched in vitro fertilisation (IVF) platform, Pluro Fertility and IVF, has secured ₹125 crore in Series A funding from global venture capital firm Bessemer Venture Partners, valuing the company at ₹1,000 crore.

Founded this year by Dr. Jaydeep Tank, Dr. Parikshit Tank, and Dr. Bhaskar Shah, Pluro aims to partner with independent IVF specialists across India through a clinical partnership model. This approach will see Pluro manage all non-clinical operations – including practice management, technology, compliance, and marketing – while partner doctors retain clinical control and receive equity participation. “We plan to have 25 fertility centres pan-India by March 2026, each in partnership with a fertility specialist with at least a decade of clinical expertise,” stated Dr. Jaydeep Tank. This investment signals growing confidence in the potential for organized, specialized healthcare services in India.

The company intends to use the funding to expand its network, invest in technology, and enhance its clinical capabilities in advanced reproductive science. Bessemer Venture Partners, which previously invested in Nephroplus, sees significant opportunity in the fragmented Indian IVF market, where approximately 6,000 clinics currently operate, with only 10% belonging to organized chains. Nithin Kaimal, partner and chief operating officer at Bessemer Venture Partners India, noted the underserved nature of tier II, III, and IV markets, highlighting a “huge opportunity to create an organised play here.” The India IVF market is projected to reach $3.4 billion by 2033, according to a report by IMARC Group, driven by increasing awareness and delayed parenthood.

Angel investors including Vikram Chhatwal (MediAssist), Dharmil Sheth and Hardik Dedhia (PharmEasy/All Home), Salil Musale (Astarc Ventures), Shalibhadra Shah and Niket Shah (Motilal Oswal), and Karan Kapur (K Hospitality) also participated in the funding round. Pluro’s model differs from established players like Indira IVF and Nova IVF Fertility by offering doctors a co-creation partnership, allowing them to benefit from infrastructure and technology while maintaining clinical autonomy.

Pluro plans to establish a pan-India presence with over 100 clinics within three years, and officials stated they will continue to focus on expanding their network and deepening their clinical expertise.
