Commanders Quarterback Jayden Daniels Cleared to Play Sunday Against Seahawks

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels will return to the field this Sunday after missing one game due to a hamstring injury, according to head coach Dan Quinn.

The Commanders (3-5) are currently on a three-game losing streak and will face a challenging matchup against the Seattle Seahawks (5-2). Washington has been significantly impacted by injuries this season, and will again be without wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who is set to miss his fifth consecutive game with a quad injury. Daniels’ return is a boost to a team desperately needing a win to stay competitive in the NFC East.

“We’re all pumped for that,” Quinn said. “He just has a unique way about him; elevates others. He’s hard to defend.” Daniels participated fully in practice for three days leading up to today, October 31, 2025, and stated he felt improved towards the end of last week. He initially suffered the hamstring injury in Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys, prompting the team to prioritize his rehabilitation. Earlier this season, Daniels also missed two games with a sprained left knee; you can find more information about common hamstring injuries on the Mayo Clinic website.

“I’m good. If I’m out there, I’m not even thinking about it,” Daniels said. “If I was worried about something, then I wouldn’t be playing. If I’m out there on the field, I’m going to be confident in myself and my abilities to go out there and execute and play football.” Through five games this season, Daniels has thrown for 1,031 yards with eight touchdowns and one interception, adding 211 rushing yards and one score. The team expects Daniels to be fully prepared for Sunday’s game, and officials will continue to monitor his condition throughout the week.
