Huddleston Wins Star Nursery 150 Amidst Chaotic ARCA West Race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Championship leader Trevor Huddleston secured his fourth win of the 2025 ARCA Menards West Series season yesterday at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Bullring, extending his lead with only one race remaining in the season.
The Star Nursery 150 Presented by The West Coast Stock Car Motorsports Hall of Fame was significantly delayed and disrupted by severe thunderstorms and rain, forcing the cancellation of qualifying and a two-hour race start delay. Despite the challenging conditions, the race featured numerous lead changes and incidents, culminating in a dramatic finish. Huddleston’s victory marks his second consecutive win and puts him in a strong position to claim his first series championship. Venturini Motorsports, a fixture in stock car racing for 43 years, ran its final race before ceasing operations.
The race saw intense battles throughout the field, with Kyle Keller initially taking the lead before Huddleston regained it on lap nine. A mid-race incident involving Keller resulted in a tire puncture and multiple laps lost, effectively diminishing his championship hopes. Later in the race, a collision involving Nick Joanides resulted in a double fracture of his left leg and knee, sidelining him for the final race at Phoenix. As Huddleston explained after the race, “We did not unload good. [My crew] stuck to it and they made it happen. That was a little rough, but it was an amazing battle with everybody.” You can find more information about the ARCA Menards West Series on the official ARCA Racing website.
Huddleston ultimately crossed the finish line ahead of Connor Hall and Robbie Kennealy. With a 34-point advantage over Keller, Huddleston heads to the Desert Diamond Casino West Valley 100 at Phoenix Raceway on November 1st with a significant opportunity to secure the championship title. The unpredictable nature of short-track racing means anything can happen, but Huddleston is the clear favorite to take home the crown, as reported by Kickin’ the Tires.
