Taylor Wessing Launches Irish Employment Practice with Key Hire

Global law firm Taylor Wessing has established a new Irish employment practice in Dublin, led by partner Lynda Nyhan, effective today, October 21, 2025.

Ms. Nyhan joins Taylor Wessing from ICON plc, where she served as lead employment counsel for EMEA and APAC, advising on employment matters across 30 countries. Her expertise encompasses a broad range of employment advisory areas, including mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and complex dismissal cases. This expansion reflects growing demand for specialized employment law services in a rapidly changing global landscape.

“We’re delighted to welcome Lynda to the team,” said Adam Griffiths, partner and head of Taylor Wessing’s Dublin office. “Her arrival and the launch of our Irish employment practice are key parts of our strategy to provide comprehensive support for our clients.” Ms. Nyhan herself stated, “It’s an exciting time to be joining Taylor Wessing, especially with the opportunity to spearhead the development of a new employment practice in Dublin.” For more information on international employment law, see resources from the International Labour Organization.

Shane Gleghorn, Taylor Wessing’s UK managing partner and global co-chair, emphasized the firm’s commitment to strategic growth in Ireland, noting that Ms. Nyhan’s hire directly addresses client needs for Irish employment law advice and complements their existing pan-European team. Taylor Wessing continues to expand its global footprint, as detailed on their website.

Officials stated the firm anticipates further growth of the practice and continued investment in its Irish operations.
