Beloved television personality and “Shall We Dance” judge Merete Mørk Lingjærde is celebrating a joyous milestone: the arrival of her first grandchild. Lingjærde,a familiar face on Norwegian screens,shared a heartwarming photo on Instagram announcing the new addition to her family.The news comes after she confirmed her daughter’s pregnancy earlier this fall, and marks a new chapter for Lingjærde and her husband, Anders Mørk.

There’s joyful news for Merete Mørk Lingjærde. The popular television personality and “Shall We Dance” judge is a grandmother for the first time.

Lingjærde confirmed earlier this fall that her daughter was expecting. Now the baby has arrived, and the new grandmother is openly expressing her joy.

“So proud of my dear daughter, and thrilled to welcome my first grandchild. Talk about a Christmas gift,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself and the newborn.

She has children Nicole and Sebastian (29) from a previous relationship. In 2021, she married her husband Anders Mørk (60), and now the couple is taking on a whole new role in life.

– “It’s my first grandchild, and I’m really looking forward to it. It’s going to be fantastic,” she said when the pregnancy was announced.

– We were a little late having children together, but we can share the time with the grandchild,” she continued.
