Nevada Women’s Basketball Faces Sacramento State in Early Season Matchup

The Nevada Wolf Pack women’s basketball team (1-0) will travel to Sacramento, California, today to face the Sacramento State Hornets (1-0) at 11 AM PST in their first road game of the season.

Nevada comes off a 70-53 victory over Cal State San Marcos on Monday, led by Ahrray Young’s 15 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and one steal. Tahj-Monet Bloom contributed 11 points and six rebounds off the bench. Sacramento State also won their season opener on Monday, defeating Stanton 124-39, with Brooklyn Taylor scoring 19 points and Natalie Picton adding 18 points and five steals. This game is an early test for both teams as they build momentum in the non-conference schedule.

This will be the 34th meeting between Nevada and Sacramento State, with the Wolf Pack holding a 22-11 advantage in the series. Their last matchup was in 2023, resulting in a 69-53 Nevada win in Reno.
