The new feature introduces a “high contrast background” for the At a Glance widget, effectively separating it from the wallpaper. When enabled, the widget will appear on a semi-transparent backdrop instead of directly on the background image. This updated background is designed to work with both dark and light text and will also be visible on the lock screen. This adjustment aims to improve the user experience by making key information more easily accessible.
The rollout timeline for this new setting remains unclear. Currently, We see only available in the QPR3 beta version of Android 16. Android Authority reports that the update is currently limited to beta testers.
