A terrestrial broadcaster is seeking to persuade free-to-air television viewers to switch to its Plustelka pay-TV service. The incentive is a price of less than one euro per month for the first three months. Towercom, the operator of the Plustelka platform, has launched a new promotional offer aimed at attracting viewers who will be affected by the upcoming end of free-to-air broadcasting of channels from the JOJ Group via antenna.
Viewers who want to continue watching JOJ, Plus, Wau, and JOJ24 channels via terrestrial broadcasting (DVB-T) will need to subscribe to a paid service. To attract these viewers, the operator is offering a Plustelka Standard package subscription at a promotional price of €0.99 per month. This rate applies when activating the service for the first three months.
A Module or Box is Required
While the operator emphasizes the low monthly fee, switching to the paid service requires an initial investment. According to the terms of the promotion, the discount is only valid when registering a new device that has not previously been registered for Plustelka.
Customers who previously watched free-to-air broadcasts and do not own a decoding device will need to purchase one. The price of a CA module on the service’s website is listed as €36.90. If a viewer needs a separate set-top box that supports the DVB-T2 (HEVC) standard, the device costs €46.
The promotional service fee is a one-time payment of €2.97 for a three-month period. The offer is valid until December 31, 2025. The standard list price for the service after the promotion expires is currently €7.99 per month.
