Police seized drugs, weapons, and nearly $3,000 in cash during a recent enforcement operation, authorities announced. The effort, which included traffic stops and speed checks, resulted in multiple arrests and dozens of citations.
Officers conducted 614 vehicle checks, issuing 41 tickets for various offenses. Fifteen of those citations were related to drug possession, while others involved weapons violations, alleged drug sales, and attempted theft, police said. Four individuals were taken into custody, including three suspected of drug trafficking and one person wanted on an international arrest warrant.
The operation yielded the seizure of five canisters of nitrous oxide, more than 100 grams of cannabis, and 16.4 grams of cocaine. Authorities also confiscated five vehicles, a unicycle, a cell phone, and approximately $2,800 in U.S. currency. The recovery of illicit substances and cash underscores ongoing efforts to combat illegal activity.
In addition to drug-related offenses, police issued 55 citations for traffic violations, including driving without a license, operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, failing to meet vehicle inspection standards, and lacking insurance.
Speeding drivers were also targeted during the operation. Police reported that mobile radar units recorded 1,678 speeding violations.
