Samsung’s First Tri-Fold Phone Design Revealed in New Leaks
The design of Samsung’s highly anticipated tri-fold phone has been revealed in newly leaked renders just days before its expected debut, offering the clearest look yet at the innovative device.
Images circulating today show a device resembling the Galaxy Z Fold 7, but with an additional folding panel. The renders suggest Samsung will maintain a punch-hole camera design for the inner folding display, positioned in the top-center of the leftmost panel. These images align with previously leaked animation assets found within the One UI 8.5 firmware, bolstering their credibility.
Internally, the Z TriFold is expected to mirror the specifications of the Z Fold 7, including a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, up to 16GB of RAM, storage options of 512GB or 1TB, and a 200MP primary rear camera. The secondary cameras are also anticipated to match the Fold 7’s setup: a 10MP 3x telephoto lens and a 12MP ultrawide camera. This move towards a tri-fold design represents a significant step in Samsung’s ongoing exploration of foldable technology, potentially reshaping the future of mobile devices. Samsung officials have not yet commented on the specifics of the rollout.

That’s now changing just days ahead of its rumored launch, as a trusted leaker has finally shared the first renders of the device, giving us our best look yet at Samsung’s next big foldable experiment.
Reliable Samsung leaker @UniverseIce shared an image showing the Galaxy Z TriFold cover display and inner folding screen. The low-resolution render does not reveal a lot about the device. However, one thing is clear: the foldable will look similar to the Z Fold 7, albeit with one extra folding panel.
Like the Z Fold 7, the render suggests Samsung will stick to a punch-hole camera for the inner folding display. And instead of the middle, the camera will sit in the top-center of the left-most panel.
The render lines up perfectly with the animation assets spotted in a leaked One UI 8.5 firmware, lending even more credibility to its authenticity.

Samsung has not officially confirmed when it plans to launch its first tri-folding phone. But reports claim the South Korean giant could take the wraps off it at the upcoming APEC 2025, which kicks off later this week on October 31, 2025.
With only around 50,000 units being manufactured, Samsung will possibly limit the TriFold’s launch to South Korea, China, Singapore, Taiwan, and the UAE. Yep, the device might not make its way to the US. With a rumored $3,000 price tag, though, the device would have barely found any takers in the stateside anyway.
