Border guards with the State Border Service of Ukraine observed a man attempting to breach the border barriers on a speeding motorcycle.
“The man planned to travel to Romania but did not intend to go through border and customs control,” according to a statement from the Ukrainian border service.

A border guard attempted to intercept the man. During the attempt to pass the officer, the motorcyclist hit a barrier and fell from the vehicle. Undeterred, he got to his feet and tried to flee into Romania on foot.
The man was ultimately caught by a border guard. He was identified as a resident of the Lviv region, born in 1992, and, officials noted, had no legal basis for leaving the country.
The suspect and the motorcycle were turned over to local police.
