United Airlines Announces New European Routes for Summer 2026

United Airlines will expand its European network for the summer of 2026 with four new routes and the continuation of services launched this past summer, the carrier announced today.

The new routes include service between Newark and Split, Croatia, beginning April 30, operating three times weekly with Boeing 767-300ER aircraft; Newark and Bari, Italy, launching May 1 with four weekly flights also on a Boeing 767-300ER; Newark and Glasgow, Scotland, starting May 8 with daily service via Boeing 737 Max-8 aircraft; and Newark and Santiago de Compostela, Spain, beginning May 28 with three weekly flights on a Boeing 737 Max-8. Additionally, a daily service between Washington Dulles and Reykjavik, Iceland, will commence May 21, utilizing Boeing 757-200 aircraft. This expansion caters to growing demand for transatlantic travel and offers passengers more direct access to popular European destinations.

Beyond the new routes, United will also add service from Newark to Seoul on September 4, operating with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, supplementing its existing twice-daily service from San Francisco. Service to Tel Aviv from Newark will increase to three times weekly starting March 28, also with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Patrick Quayle, United SVP of global network planning and alliances, stated during a press conference that the airline is committed to growing its international network to meet customer needs.
