In a recent interview, candidate Vicky Dávila questioned Alcocer’s sources of income, stating, “They are impudent. They do not have an ethical approach to public office. And Verónica Alcocer is living a lavish lifestyle, according to the press in Stockholm. What does she live on? How long has she not worked? Who supports her? Where does the money come from? Why is she surrounded by those strange Catalans who arrived during Petro’s campaign, and about whom so many stories are circulating, stories that I know you, as a journalist, are familiar with?”
Dávila expressed hope that the truth will eventually be revealed, adding, “I am an incorrigible optimist who believes that one day, at least, justice will be served and the truth will be known. I have always worked to ensure the truth is known. In Verónica’s case, we filed many complaints, as we did with Nicolás Petro. And time has proven us right. Both Verónica and Nicolás Petro are on the Clinton List.”
Dávila also commented, “I don’t know if she is the First Lady or an ex-First Lady. I have no idea.”
