Huntsville Woman Arrested After Child Found in Dumpster

A Huntsville woman was arrested yesterday after allegedly placing a small child inside a dumpster, according to the Huntsville Police Department.

Officers responded to a report of child abuse in progress around 11 a.m. on November 8 in the 3400 block of Venona Avenue. Upon arrival, police were informed that Seannay Spencer had allegedly put a child in a dumpster. The child’s father reportedly witnessed the incident and was able to retrieve the child before any serious injuries occurred, though the child did sustain minor injuries.

Spencer has been charged with willful torture and abuse of a child and abandonment of a child, and her bond is set at $2,800.
