Beyond tourism, the council will review municipal finances, consider motions regarding healthcare access and domestic violence awareness, and address ongoing administrative matters.
Hornachuelos town officials will consider a proposal to designate the municipality as a tourist destination during a regularly scheduled council meeting November 27, a move that could unlock additional funding for local tourism initiatives.
The council will begin by approving the minutes from the previous session. Following that, members will review reports from the Special Accounts Commission regarding the 2023 General Account and the 2024 General Account, key documents for overseeing and ensuring transparency in municipal finances.
The potential “Tourist Municipality” designation is a key item on the agenda. Approval would aim to boost the town’s tourism profile and open access to regional support and funding opportunities. The designation underscores the town’s commitment to developing its tourism sector.
Also on the agenda is the presentation of the 2026 Annual Regulatory Plan, outlining proposed legislative and regulatory initiatives for the year. Administrative matters will include continued processing of case 51/2025 related to outstanding obligations to suppliers for in-home care services, as detailed in document O/302, dated November 18, 2025.
