Apple Vision Pro App Coming to iPad with iPadOS 26.1
iPad users will soon be able to prepare for and manage their Apple Vision Pro experience directly from their devices, as Apple plans to release the Apple Vision Pro app with the upcoming iPadOS 26.1.
The app, initially launched for iPhone in April with iOS 18.4, will allow users to “queue apps and games to download, discover new spatial content and experiences, easily find helpful tips, and quickly access information about their device,” according to Apple. The release expands the ecosystem for the spatial computer and streamlines the setup process for new users.
Within the app, a Discover page offers “curated recommendations for new and noteworthy experiences available on Apple Vision Pro,” while the My Vision Pro section provides access to device information, visionOS version updates, serial numbers, and Personalized Spatial Audio setup. For more on spatial audio, see Dolby’s explanation of the technology.
Today’s announcement coincides with the unveiling of new iPad Pro models featuring the M5 chip, and new Apple Vision Pro models also powered by the M5 chip. This hardware upgrade is expected to further enhance the performance and capabilities of both devices; you can learn more about the Apple Vision Pro on Apple’s website. Apple anticipates iPadOS 26.1 will be available by the end of October or early November.
