UNCG Golfers Compete at Elon Phoenix Invitational

Three UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men’s golfers concluded play at the Elon Phoenix Invitational today, with Will Guidry leading the Spartan contingent.

Guidry finished in a tie for 24th place at two-under-par (211) after rounds of 75, a collegiate-best eight-under-par 63, and 73 at the Alamance Country Club in Burlington, North Carolina. Dax Isbell improved his standing by 11 positions in the final round, tying for 46th place with a five-over-par (218) total, while Cole Isbell tied for 67th at 10-over-par (223). Strong performances in collegiate golf tournaments can significantly impact a team’s regional and national rankings.

Elon University’s Landon Durham took the individual title with a remarkable 17-under-par (196) score, and the host school, Elon, also secured first place in the 16-team tournament with a 34-under-par (818) overall score.
