Photographer Eric Anthony Lorson’s “Journey and Growth” Exhibit Opens at Kansas Wesleyan University

An exhibition of photography by Salina-based artist Eric Anthony Lorson, titled “Journey and Growth,” opened yesterday at The Gallery in Sams Hall of Fine Arts at Kansas Wesleyan University.

The exhibit, which runs through December 11, showcases Lorson’s diverse portfolio encompassing live music, astrophotography, landscapes, and portraiture. His work blends over 15 years of technical expertise with a continually developing artistic vision. “Collaboration sits at the heart of my process,” Lorson said. “Whether partnering with musicians, fellow artists or individuals seeking to capture their own story, I thrive in the exchange of perspectives that bring depth and energy to my work.”

Lorson’s background includes training in graphic design and commercial arts, influencing his precise and imaginative approach to photography. He aims to translate atmosphere, emotion, and narrative into each image, a skill honed over years of refining his technical craft. For those interested in learning more about the art on display at Kansas Wesleyan University, visit the KWU Fine Arts Department website. Supporting local artists and cultural events like this contributes to the vibrancy of the Salina community.

A reception for Lorson will be held from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm on November 14. The Gallery at KWU is free and open to the public; more information about visiting art galleries can be found at the National Endowment for the Arts. University officials encourage the public to attend and experience Lorson’s work.
