Plants vs. Zombies Returns to Consoles with Switch 2 GameShare Feature
The classic tower defense game, Plants vs. Zombies, is being re-released on Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2 on October 23, 2025, with a new trailer showcasing the Switch 2’s GameShare capability.
The “Replanted” version of the game will feature HD graphics and new levels, alongside 15 years of franchise history. A key feature highlighted in the new gameplay trailer is the Switch 2’s GameShare, allowing for Local Co-Op and Player vs. Player modes; however, the Switch 2 console must initiate the GameShare session, and shared software is only playable during the active session.
