SALEM — As fall settles in, the city’s slate of annual fall programming is also approaching.
The annual festivities begin with Scarecrow Shenanigans from Oct. 5 through 12, which sees participants create customized family-friendly scarecrows for display at the library and downtown during the week of Quakerfest.
Scarecrow frames will be available for pickup at the Salem Public Library or Salem Area Chamber of Commerce during normal business hours, and completed scarecrows must be turned in to the library by 5 p.m. Oct. 11 unless they are being displayed downtown. Anybody who wants to keep their scarecrow must pick them up from the library by the end of the day Oct. 18.
