Zinwa Technologies, the company behind the recent revival of the BlackBerry Classic with Android, is planning a follow-up device, the Q27, expected in the second quarter of 2026. The Q27 signals Zinwa’s continued commitment to blending classic smartphone aesthetics with modern technology, aiming to carve out a niche in a market dominated by established players [[1]]. Details reveal a departure from conventional smartphone design alongside a focus on mid-range performance, positioning the Q27 as a potential disruptor in the competitive mobile landscape. The Q27 builds upon Zinwa’s earlier Q25 Pro model which reimagined the classic BlackBerry [[2]].
Zinwa is planning a new smartphone, the Q27, slated for release as early as the second quarter of 2026. The device features a unique design, placing the front-facing camera to the left of the speaker, and omitting a button previously found on the top edge. This design choice marks a departure from conventional smartphone layouts, potentially influencing future mobile device aesthetics.
The Q27 will sport a glossy rear panel and a single 50-megapixel camera. On the front, a 16-megapixel sensor will handle selfies and video calls. The company has also confirmed the phone will include a 3.92-inch AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution, and a battery capacity of either 3,500 or 4,000 mAh.
Under the hood, the Q27 is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor. Zinwa anticipates this chipset will deliver performance comparable to smartphones like the Motorola Edge 60, the Redmi Note 14 Pro, and the Poco X7 (currently $282.99 on Amazon). The choice of processor suggests Zinwa is aiming for a competitive position in the mid-range smartphone market.
