Arizona Launches ArrayRx Program to Lower Prescription Drug Costs

Arizona residents now have access to a free discount card, ArrayRx, designed to significantly lower the cost of prescription medications, regardless of insurance status or income.

Through the ArrayRx Discount Card, Arizonans can save up to 80% on FDA-approved prescriptions and up to 18% on name-brand drugs, with options also available for over-the-counter medications, diabetes supplies, specialty drugs, and mail-order prescriptions. The program, which became available today, November 3, 2025, after being signed into effect by Governor Katie Hobbs in August, joins a multistate nonprofit consortium working to make medications more affordable. Rising prescription drug costs are a major concern for many Americans, impacting healthcare access and financial stability.

Governor Hobbs emphasized the program’s potential impact, stating, “At a time when prescription drug prices are too high, we are giving Arizonans access to lower prices.” Residents can obtain a unique ArrayRx Discount Card online, available for digital use or printing, and redeem it at over 64,000 participating pharmacies nationwide, including approximately 1,200 within Arizona. Members also gain access to a personalized online dashboard to manage prescriptions and check pricing, similar to tools offered by GoodRx.

Reginald Williams, an administrator for the Arizona Department of Health Services’ Office of Health Engagement and Impact, highlighted the program’s importance for those with insurance gaps or ongoing medication needs, stating, “AZRx is a critical new tool to provide more affordable prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications to Arizonans.” He encouraged all residents to enroll to take advantage of potential savings. You can find more information about prescription assistance programs through the USA.gov state health programs portal.

Officials encourage all Arizonans to sign up for the card to potentially save money on their medications.
