UK Business Leaders Honored for Ambition and Growth at LDC Top 50 Awards
London, UK – The UK’s most ambitious business leaders were celebrated yesterday at an awards ceremony in London, recognizing their achievements in driving economic growth, fostering innovation, and creating employment opportunities across the country.
Mark Fitzgerald of CTR Group was named The UK’s Most Ambitious Business Leader of 2025, lauded by judges for his resilience and vision in growing the Marchington-based recycling specialist to a £45 million turnover. CTR processes 1,300 tonnes of unwanted goods weekly, repurposing them for communities worldwide, guided by a commitment to sustainability. This recognition comes as the UK increasingly focuses on circular economy initiatives to reduce waste and environmental impact.
Other winners included Kwame Boateng of Ingrained Oil, who received the Youth Ambition Award for his cruelty-free fragrance brand supported by The Prince’s Trust Enterprise programme; Barty Walsh of ORDO, taking home the Growth Award with a 350% revenue increase; and Pip Murray of Pip & Nut, recognized for her impact as a certified B Corp championing regenerative farming. Josie Morris MBE of Woolcool was awarded The Sustainability Award for her work using wool as a plastic alternative in packaging. “In the eight years since we launched The LDC Top 50 we’ve had the honour of meeting some exceptional business leaders,” said John Garner, Managing Partner at LDC. “This year’s cohort has shown drive and ambition in their growth journeys, proven remarkable resilience, and together they are making a real difference.”
